Dr. North, a native Texan, joined the Amarillo Bone & Joint Surgical Team from St. Louis, Missouri where he worked with the Washington University Department of Orthopedic Surgery to complete extensive training in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Preservation.
Dr. North is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is Fellowship Trained in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Preservation from the Washington University Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He completed his Internship and was Resident Physician / Surgeon at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center / University Medical Center Department of Orthopedic Surgery where he scored in the 90th percentile nationally on his annual in the training exam.
He completed his Doctor of Medicine at Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas and his undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Texas A&M University where he graduated magna cum laude.
“I chose Orthopedics because it allows me to make a very tangible difference in the lives of my patients to restore function and relieve pain,” said Dr. North. “I specialized in joint reconstruction because hip and knee replacement are two of the best surgical interventions out there. Debilitating arthritic pain is virtually eliminated, in many instances, by a well-performed arthroplasty. Restoring function and relieving pain – that’s what I do.”

Dr. North has three children, a daughter, Tatum, and two sons, Luke and Jack. Dr. North, a former skydiver, enjoys most outdoor activities, including golf and home improvement projects.
